Regular Season Round 15: Biofarm PZN - Astoria Bydg. 87-59

Very expected game when 15th ranked Astoria Bydg. (4-11) was smashed by tenth ranked Biofarm PZN (7-8) in Poznan 87-59. Biofarm PZN forced 19 Astoria Bydg. turnovers. The best player for the winners was center Adam Metelski (206-83, college: Cal-Irvine) who had a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds. Point guard Piotr Wieloch (182-94) chipped in 17 points and 7 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was Dorian Szyttenholm (193-83, agency: Promotex) who recorded 11 points and Pawel Krefft (192-96) added 12 points respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Biofarm PZN moved-up to eighth place. Astoria Bydg. at the other side keeps the fifteenth position with 11 games lost. Biofarm PZN's next round opponent will be higher ranked Legia W-wa (#3) in Warszawa and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Astoria Bydg. will play on the road against Polonia Leszno (#7) and hope to win that game.
