Regular Season Round 24: Cyberdyne IR - Hiroshima D. 82-83

Third-ranked Cyberdyne IR (12-11) used its home court advantage to challenge third ranked Dragonflies (18-5) in Tsukuba. The visitors from Hiroshima managed to secure only one-point victory 83-82. However their fans expected easier game. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Cyberdyne IR. Cyberdyne IR was ahead by 3 points at the halftime before a 27-19 third quarter run of Dragonflies. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Connor Lammert (206-94, college: Texas) who helped to win the game recording 24 points and 9 rebounds and the former international center Daiji Yamada (200-81) who added 10 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was American power forward Rick Rickert (211-83, college: Minnesota) with 24 points and 9 rebounds and his fellow American import forward Xavier Ford (201-93, college: Buffalo) scored 15 points and 8 rebounds. Five Dragonflies and four Cyberdyne IR players scored in double figures. Cyberdyne IR's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Dragonflies have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Shimane SM. Cyberdyne IR at the other side keeps the third position with 11 games lost. They share it with Yamagata. Dragonflies will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Cyberdyne IR will play again at home against Dragonflies and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
