No shocking result in a game when seventh ranked C.Adelantados (7-4) crushed 9th ranked Antiguo Boscos (5-7) in San Cristobal 68-44 on Saturday. The game without a history. C.Adelantados led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Antiguo Boscos to just 2 points in second quarter. C.Adelantados made 22-of-27 free shots (81.5 percent) during the game, while Antiguo Boscos only scored six points from the stripe. They outrebounded Antiguo Boscos 38-25 including 28 on the defensive glass. Antiguo Boscos was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for American power forward Aulani Sinclair (186-90, college: Indiana) who led her team to a victory with 18 points and 5 rebounds. Power forward Veronica Matoso (185-88) contributed with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Four C.Adelantados players scored in double figures. Patricia Vicente replied with 15 points and Eva Lacort (-89) added 1 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Antiguo Boscos. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. C.Adelantados moved-up to fifth place in Group B. Antiguo Boscos lost third consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with seven games lost. C.Adelantados will face higher ranked Distrito Olimpico (#3) in Madrid in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Antiguo Boscos will play at home against Valencia (#13) and hope to win that game.
