Regular Season Round 13: Moncalieri - Bottegone 86-73

Not a big story in a game when 13th ranked Bottegone (5-8) was defeated on the road by third ranked Moncalieri (8-4) 86-73 on Saturday. Forward Riccardo Coviello (197-88) stepped up and scored 18 points and 9 rebounds for the winners and swingman Leone Gioria (194-84) chipped in 16 points. Four Moncalieri players scored in double figures. Moncalieri's coach Lorenzo Pansa used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side Daniele Toscano (196-93, agency: Players Group) responded with 18 points and 8 rebounds and Montenegrin power forward Milos Divac (202-98) scored 11 points and 8 rebounds. The victory was the third consecutive win for Moncalieri. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Roma Luiss and Cecina. Loser Bottegone dropped to the tenth position with eight games lost. Moncalieri will face Piombino (#9) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Bottegone will play against Valsesia and hope to win that game.
