Regular Season Round 4: Homenetmen - Sagesse 129-85

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Homenetmen as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Homenetmen smashed 8th ranked Sagesse in Beirut 129-85. Homenetmen shot 60.2 percent from the field. They also forced 19 Sagesse turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 33 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Sagesse's players. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Dewayne Jackson (203-90, college: Morgan St., agency: Higher Vision Sports) who helped to win the game recording 49 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international swingman Fadi Khatib (198-79) who added 33 points (!!!) and 4 assists during the contest. Four Homenetmen players scored in double figures. Homenetmen's coach Joe Moujaes felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side American guard Terrell Stoglin (185-91, college: Maryland) responded with 40 points (!!!) (made all of his seven free throws) and his fellow American import power forward Ivan Johnson (203-84, college: CS San Bernar., agency: Haylett Sports) scored 16 points and 5 rebounds. Homenetmen have a solid four-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Sagesse at the other side keeps the eighth place with three games lost. They share the position with Champville. Sagesse will play next round against Champville trying to get back on the winning streak. Homenetmen will try to continue on its current victory against seventh ranked Mayrouba on the road.
