Regular Season Round 12: Arantia - Musel Pikes 67-86

Total League top team - Musel Pikes (10-2) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed ninth ranked Arantia (1-11) in Larochette 86-67. Musel Pikes forced 23 Arantia turnovers. Strangely Arantia outrebounded Musel Pikes 39-27 including 25 on the defensive glass. American players dominated the game. The winners were led by power forward Clancy Rugg (203-91, college: Vermont, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 41 points (!!!) and 10 rebounds and swingman Jarmar Gulley (196-91, college: Missouri St.) supported him with 21 points and 6 rebounds. Even a double-double of 30 points and 11 rebounds by swingman Corday Sims (196-91, college: Peru St.) did not help to save the game for Arantia. Forward Lee Fisher (198-89, college: Chicago St.) added 9 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Musel Pikes have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 10-2 record, which they share with Amicale. Arantia lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the ninth place with 11 games lost. Musel Pikes will meet at home Basket Esch (#6) in the next round where they are favorite. Arantia will play against Etzella in Ettelbruck and hope to win that game.
