Regular Season Round 13: Sammic ISB - Granada 56-78

The most interesting game of round 13 in the LEB Silver was a home defeat of their biggest opponent Sammic ISB (8-5) by first ranked CB Granada (9-4) who outscored them by 22 points 78-56. It was a key game for the top position in the league. The game without a history. CB Granada led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Sammic ISB's 24. American guard Adrian Bowie (189-89, college: Maryland) stepped up and scored 15 points and 5 rebounds for the winners and naturalized Argentinian forward Alejandro Bortolussi (202-89) chipped in 15 points. Four CB Granada players scored in double figures. At the losing side point guard Gaizka Maiza (191-96) responded with 17 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) and New Zealand center Mike Karena (208-93, college: Wright St.) scored 9 points and 6 rebounds. CB Granada maintains first place with 9-4 record, which they share with Lucentum and Avila. Sammic ISB at the other side dropped to the fourth position with five games lost. They share it with Valladolid and Cambados. CB Granada is looking forward to face L'Hospitalet (#15) on the road in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Sammic ISB will play against Fontedoso Carrefour (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
