Regular Season Round 15: Slask Wroclaw - Rawia 79-77

Fifth-ranked Rawia (8-6) gave a tough game to leader Slask (14-0) in Wroclaw on Saturday. Slask managed to secure only two-point victory 79-77. However their fans expected much easier game. Slask dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to Rawia's 24. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was point guard Wojciech Jakubiak (180-96) who scored 22 points. Power forward Aleksander Dziewa (206-97) chipped in 9 points and 10 rebounds. Slask's coach Dominik Tomczyk used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Pawel Nowicki (195-92) who recorded 24 points and 7 rebounds and Michal Wielechowski (198-94) added 20 points respectively. Slask have an impressive series of twelve victories in a row. They maintain first place with 14-0 record. Loser Rawia keeps the fifth position with six games lost. They share it with 4 other teams. Slask will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Rawia will play against Otmuchow (#11) and hope to secure a win.
