No shocking result in a game in Santa Fe where first ranked Union SF (12-4) outleveled 3rd placed Villa Angela (11-6) 102-80 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 3-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 102-80. Union SF shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 52.0 percentage. It was a great evening for swingman Bruno Barovero (194-90) who led his team to a victory scoring 26 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Center Fernando Podesta (205-92) helped adding 21 points and 7 rebounds. Coach Daniel Beltramo's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side American forward Nate Carter (200-83, college: Oklahoma) responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 13 rebounds and Cesar Avalle (189-85) scored 21 points. Four Villa Angela players scored in double figures. Union SF maintains first place with 12-4 record, which they share with Estudiantes O. Loser Villa Angela keeps the third position with six games lost. Union SF will face league's second-placed Barrio Parque in Cordoba in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week.
