Sixth-ranked Shinshu BW (6-18) was very close to win a game against fourth ranked Orange Vikings (10-14) in Matsuyama on Saturday. Orange Vikings managed to secure only one-point victory 74-73. However their fans expected easier game. The hosts trailed by 3 points after three quarters before their 18-14 charge, which allowed them to win the game. The winners were led by Toshino Yoshihiko (186-92) who scored that evening 24 points and American center Joshua Crawford (211-88, college: Indiana St.) supported him with 7 points and 11 rebounds. Even a double-double of 19 points and 13 rebounds by American forward Will Carter (200-88, college: San Jose St., agency: HMS) did not help to save the game for Shinshu BW. His fellow American import forward Terrance Shannon (203-90, college: VCU) added 15 points and 10 rebounds. Orange Vikings have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position with 10-14 record. Shinshu BW lost eighth consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with 18 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
