Regular Season Round 11: Hainaut - Tarbes 74-56

The game with biggest result difference took place in Saint-Amand. Local Hainaut (4-7) beat 12th ranked Tarbes (2-9) 74-56. The game was mostly controlled by Hainaut. Tarbes was better in fourth quarter 15-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Hainaut players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Tarbes' players. It was a quality performance for Czech swingman Romana Hejdova (184-88) who led the winners and scored 16 points and 8 rebounds. American power forward Jacinta Monroe (193-88, college: Florida St.) accounted for 14 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side. Hainaut's coach Fabrice Fernandes allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Australian center Abby Bishop (189-88, agency: LBM Management) came up with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds and the former international guard Adja Konteh (178-92) added 17 points respectively for Tarbes in the defeat. Hainaut moved-up to ninth place. Newly promoted Tarbes stay at the bottom position with nine games lost. Hainaut's next round opponent will be league's leader Basket Landes in Mont de Marsan and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Tarbes will play on the road against Lyon (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
