Regular Season Round 12: Bolzano - Albino 73-61

An interesting game took place in Bolzano where higher ranked Albino (5-7) was upset on the court of twelfth ranked Bolzano (3-9) 73-61 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Bolzano. Albino was better in second period 18-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Bolzano had a 29-17 advantage in offensive rebounds. Albino was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Viviana Giordano (167-89) who helped to win the game recording 26 points and guard Safy Fall (176-89) who added 19 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was Croatian guard Lana Packovski (170-94) with 26 points and 6 rebounds and guard Linda Manzini (176-90) scored 20 points. Albino's coach Giuliano Stibiel tested eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Bolzano moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Carugate. Albino at the other side keeps the eighth position with seven games lost. Bolzano will face higher ranked Orvieto (#5) on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
