The game in Bratislava was also quite interesting. Fifth ranked BAM Poprad (6-6) played at the court of 7th ranked Slovan (2-10). BAM Poprad defeated Slovan 70-56 on Saturday. Forward Katarina Petrikova (182-80) nailed 21 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side and forward Angelika Theiner (178-92) accounted for 11 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Center Renata Talajkova (190-81) came up with 14 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and Simona Marcova (184-94) added 4 points and 9 rebounds respectively for Slovan in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for BAM Poprad. They maintain fifth place with 6-6 record. Slovan lost their fourth game in a row. They dropped to the eighth position with ten games lost. BAM Poprad will meet at home league's second-placed Piestanske C. in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Slovan will play against Banska Bystrica (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
