Regular Season Round 11: Toulouse - Roannais 75-55

No shocking result in a game when seventh ranked Toulouse (6-5) smashed at home bottom-ranked Roannais (2-9) 75-55. The game was mostly controlled by Toulouse. Roannais was better in fourth quarter 13-11. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Toulouse dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Roannais' 30. Toulouse forced 21 Roannais turnovers. Senegalese power forward Oumou Toure (190-88) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). American guard Leah Metcalf (170-83, college: N.Carolina) contributed with 23 points and 4 assists (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) for the winners. Toulouse's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Guard Leonore Duchez answered with 20 points and Laetitia Guapo (180-95) added 9 points and 4 assists in the effort for Roannais. Toulouse moved-up to sixth place, which they share with COB Calais and SIG. Roannais lost their seventh game in a row. Newly promoted team stay at the bottom position with nine games lost. They share it with Limoges and CFBB. Toulouse will play against league's second-placed Roche in La Roche in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Roannais will play at home against COB Calais (#8) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
