Regular Season Round 11: Arras - Limoges 58-42

There was no surprise when 13th ranked Limoges (2-9) was defeated on the road by fourth ranked Arras (7-4) 58-42. It looked good early as Limoges took a 1-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Arras had a 16-8 second period charge getting the lead and Limoges was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 42-58. They outrebounded Limoges 42-27 including 28 on the defensive glass. Forward Fabienne Constant (186-86) orchestrated the victory by scoring 14 points and 9 rebounds. Berengere Dinga-Mbomi (172-95) contributed with 11 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Point guard Tiphaine Melois (170-94) answered with 12 points and center Justine Barthelemy (185-93) added 4 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Limoges. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Arras. They maintain fourth place with 7-4 record, which they share with Reims. Limoges at the other side dropped to the twelfth position with nine games lost. They share it with CFBB and Roannais. Arras will play against Aulnoye (#9) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Limoges will play against CFBB and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
