We should mention about the upset which took place in Reggio Calabria, where higher ranked Lighthouse TR (7-6) lost to fifteenth ranked Viola RC (5-8) in a road game 78-86 on Sunday. Lighthouse TR was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. American-Jordanian guard Alex Legion (195-88, college: FIU, agency: Octagon Europe) fired 35 points (!!!), 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Croatian power forward Ivica Radic (208-90, agency: XL Basketball Agency) chipped in a double-double by scoring 18 points and 14 rebounds. American point guard Keddric Mays (183-84) produced 21 points and 6 assists and the former international swingman Gabriele Ganeto (200-87) added 23 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Viola RC maintains fifteenth place in A2 with 5-8 record. Loser Lighthouse TR dropped to the fourth position with six games lost. Viola RC will face Scafati (#16) on the road in the next round. Lighthouse TR will play against Agrigento (#3) having rather not much hope for a victory.
