Regular Season Round 13: Sant Nicolau - Arenys 78-86

There was no surprise in Sabadell where 12th ranked Sant Nicolau (3-8) was defeated by sixth ranked Arenys (7-4) 86-78 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 2-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 86-78. Bahamas power forward Christopher Turnquest (203-83, college: Miles CC) fired 22 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. American forward Omar Toure (199-94) chipped in a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!). Center Larry Ewulu (197-92) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds and point guard Nil Angelats (185-93) added 12 points and 6 steals (made all of his ten free throws !!!) respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Sant Nicolau's coach let to play twelve players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Arenys moved-up to third place in Group C-A, which they share with Martorell and Castellbisbal. Loser Sant Nicolau keeps the twelfth position with eight games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
