Regular Season Round 24: Aishin AW - Yamanashi QB 87-62

Bottom-ranked Yamanashi QB is still unable to win any game. This time they lost on the road their 22th consecutive match to tenth ranked Aishin Wings (5-17) 87-62. It looked good early as Yamanashi QB took a 3-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Aishin Wings had a 24-6 second period charge getting the lead and Yamanashi QB was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 62-87. Aishin Wings dominated on the defensive end, holding Yamanashi QB to just 6 points in second quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Yamanashi QB's 24. They outrebounded Yamanashi QB 48-36 including a 33-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. Aishin Wings players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by Yamanashi QB's players. The best player for the winners was the former international swingman Tanaka Masaki (171-88) who scored 20 points. Forward Arisa Takii (178-88) chipped in a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds. Four Aishin Wings players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Miki Huzii (165-87) who recorded 20 points and forward Saki Iijima (172-92) added 15 points and 6 rebounds respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Aishin Wings maintains tenth position with 5-17 record. Newly promoted Yamanashi QB still closes the standings.
