Regular Season Round 13: Orzinuovi GaGa - Iseo 77-46

Serie B top team - Orzinuovi GaGa (11-2) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they crushed sixteenth ranked Iseo (2-11) 77-46. Orzinuovi GaGa made 21-of-26 free shots (80.8 percent) during the game, while Iseo only scored three points from the stripe. They outrebounded Iseo 43-31 including 31 on the defensive glass. The former international Rodolfo Valenti (198-80) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds for the winners and guard Antonio Ruggiero (190-81, agency: SPORTlab Agency) chipped in 15 points and 8 rebounds (made all of his eight free throws). At the losing side center Stefano Scuratti (202-94) responded with 8 points and 10 rebounds and Gianluigi Prestini (200-89) scored 10 points and 6 rebounds. Iseo's coach Matteo Mazzoli gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Orzinuovi GaGa. They maintain first place with 11-2 record. Newly promoted Iseo dropped to the fifteenth position with 11 games lost. Orzinuovi GaGa will face Reggio Emilia (#11) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Iseo will play against San Vendemiano (#14) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
