There was a minor upset when 6th ranked Betanzos (6-5) was rolled over at home by ninth ranked BVM 2012 (5-5) 86-65 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by BVM 2012. Betanzos was better in second period 25-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 20-of-26 free shots (76.9 percent) during the game. BVM 2012 forced 31 Betanzos turnovers. American-Puerto Rican guard Bobby Harris (185-91, college: Amer.Internat., agency: Duran International) fired 29 points and 6 rebounds (made all of his eight free throws) for the winners. American-British forward Jeff Dirkin (203-91, college: Rollins, agency: Duran International) chipped in 17 points and 9 rebounds. Four BVM 2012 players scored in double figures. BVM 2012's coach felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Center Marcos Rozas (202-83) produced 20 points and 8 rebounds and guard Guillermo Pereiro (191-89) added 12 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. BVM 2012 have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to eighth place in Group A-B, which they share with La Fecha. Betanzos lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the seventh position with five games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
