Regular Season Round 13: Zaragoza - Andorra 90-74

An interesting game took place in Zaragoza, where higher ranked Andorra (7-5) lost to thirteenth ranked CAI Zaragoza (5-7) in a road game 74-90 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by CAI Zaragoza. Andorra was better in fourth quarter 27-26. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 19-of-21 free shots (90.5 percent) during the game. Andorra was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. International point guard Tomas Bellas (185-90) fired a double-double by scoring 10 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists for the winners. German forward Robin Benzing (208-89) chipped in 14 points and 8 rebounds. Five CAI Zaragoza players scored in double figures. Georgian Beka Burjanadze (201-94) produced 14 points and 6 rebounds and Serbian power forward Oliver Stevic (204-84, agency: BeoBasket) added 16 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. CAI Zaragoza moved-up to tenth place. Loser Andorra dropped to the seventh position with five games lost. CAI Zaragoza will face Joventut (#16) in Badalona in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game.
