Tenth-ranked Correcaminos (3-17) used its home court advantage to challenge seventh ranked Santos (9-10) in Ciudad Victoria. The visitors from San Luis Potosi managed to secure only two-point victory 83-81. However their fans expected easier game. American forward B.J. West (211-89, college: Jackson St.) fired 23 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. The former international forward Jesus Gonzalez (195-86) chipped in 20 points and 5 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). American forward Kennedy Jones (201, college: Arlington Baptist) produced 34 points (!!!) and Canadian forward Grandy Glaze (204, college: Grand Canyon) added 15 points and 13 rebounds respectively for lost side. Santos moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Barreteros. Correcaminos lost their fourth game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with 17 games lost. Santos' next round opponent will be higher ranked Soles (#3) in Mexicali and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Correcaminos will play on the road against the league's leader Fuerza Regia (#1) in Monterrey and hope to win that game.
