Very predictable result when fifth ranked Scandone AV (8-4) defeated on the road bottom-ranked Vanoli Cremona (2-10) 86-73. Vanoli Cremona was ahead by 4 points at the halftime before a 51-34 second half run of Scandone AV. They also forced 19 Vanoli Cremona turnovers. It was a good game for American-Liberian point guard Joe Ragland (182-89, college: Wichita St.) who led his team to a victory with 24 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Belgian-Nigerian guard Retin Obasohan (185-93, college: Alabama) contributed with 20 points for the winners. Four Scandone AV players scored in double figures. American guard Tu Holloway (182-89, college: Xavier) replied with 25 points and 5 assists (went 13 for 13 at the free throw line !!!) and naturalized Cameroonian center Paul Biligha (200-90, agency: Players Group) added 13 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Vanoli Cremona. Vanoli Cremona's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Scandone AV moved-up to third place, which they share with Grissin Bon RE. Vanoli Cremona lost third consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with ten games lost. Scandone AV's next round opponent will be Betaland Cdo (#6) in Capo d'Orlando. Vanoli Cremona will play on the road against AV Cantu (#13) and hope to win that game.
