Regular Season Round 13: Mantova - Unieuro Forli 90-85

There was no surprise in Mirandola where 14th ranked Unieuro Forli (4-9) was defeated by fifth ranked Mantova (8-5) 90-85 on Sunday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Unieuro Forli was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. Swingman Alessandro Amici (200-91) fired 25 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. American LaMarshall Corbett (189-88, college: Angelo St.) chipped in 20 points and 6 rebounds. Mantova's coach Alberto Martelossi used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Naturalized Argentinian guard Sebastian Vico (193-86, agency: Players Group) produced 22 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and power forward Paolo Rotondo (204-89, agency: Players Group) added 22 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Mantova moved-up to third place in A2. Newly promoted Unieuro Forli dropped to the fifteenth position with nine games lost. Mantova will face Recanati (#16) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Unieuro Forli will play against Imola and hope to win that game.
