Regular Season Round 25: Chiba Jets - Toyama Grouses 90-65

Rather expected game when 6th ranked Toyama Grouses (3-22) were rolled over on the road by third ranked Chiba Jets (18-7) 90-65 on Sunday. The game without a history. Chiba Jets led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Guard Kosuke Ishii (182-87) fired 26 points and 4 assists for the winners. American Tyler Stone (203-91, college: SE Missouri St.) chipped in a double-double by scoring 15 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Chiba Jets players scored in double figures. Chiba Jets' coach Atsushi Ono felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Forward Naoki Uto (188-91) produced 16 points and American forward Sam Willard (205-88, college: Pacific, agency: Pensack Sports) added 11 points and 9 rebounds respectively for lost side. The victory was the eleventh consecutive win for Chiba Jets. They maintain third place with 18-7 record having four points less than leader SeaHorses. Toyama Grouses lost their third game in a row. They keep the sixth position with 22 games lost. Chiba Jets will face league's second-placed Niigata Albirex on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week.
