Regular Season Round 25: Osaka Evessa - Ryukyu GK 91-81

There was no surprise when 5th ranked Ryukyu GK (10-15) was defeated on the road by third ranked Osaka Evessa (15-10) 91-81 on Sunday. Ryukyu GK was trailing by 2 points at halftime but managed to get 3-point lead after three quarters before a 31-18 charge of Osaka Evessa, which allowed them to win the game. They made 16-of-18 free shots (88.9 percent) during the game. American swingman Richard Roby (198-85) fired 19 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. His fellow American import forward Josh Harrellson (208-89, college: Kentucky) chipped in 17 points and 9 rebounds. International guard Ryuichi Kishimoto (176-90) produced 21 points and American forward Reyshawn Terry (203-84, college: N.Carolina) added 17 points respectively for lost side. Five Osaka Evessa and four Ryukyu GK players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. The victory was the third consecutive win for Osaka Evessa. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Nagoya DD. Ryukyu GK lost their eighth game in a row. They keep the fifth position with 15 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
