Venezia's coach Andrea Liberalotto felt very confident using 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. American Jolene Anderson (175-86, college: Wisconsin) came up with 14 points and French Nwal-Endene Miyem (188-88) added 11 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Familia Schio in the defeat. Venezia moved-up to second place, which they share with defeated Familia Schio. Venezia will play against Torino (#8) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Familia Schio will play against Battipaglia (#11) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
