Regular Season Round 24: Denso Iris - JX-Eneos S. 42-70

WJBL top team - JX-Eneos S. (22-0) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they crushed fifth ranked Denso Iris (13-9) in Kariya 70-42. The game was mostly controlled by JX-Eneos S.. Denso Iris managed to win third quarter 18-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Denso Iris to just 6 points in first quarter. JX-Eneos S. forced 24 Denso Iris turnovers. The winners were led by the former international power forward Ramu Tokashiki (191-91) who scored that evening 17 points and 8 rebounds and the former international forward Yuka Mamiya (185-90) supported her with 13 points. Even a double-double of 13 points and 13 rebounds by international center Sakura Akaho (182-96) did not help to save the game for Denso Iris. The former international power forward Maki Takada (183-89) added 10 points and 9 rebounds. JX-Eneos S. have an impressive 20-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 22-0 record. Denso Iris lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the sixth place with nine games lost. They share the position with Toyota B SR.
