Regular Season Round 25: Kagawa FA - Aomori Watts 91-69

There was a minor upset in Takamatsu where 5th ranked Aomori Watts (11-13) were rolled over by fifth ranked Kagawa FA (7-17) 91-69 on Sunday. The game without a history. Kagawa FA led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Kagawa FA made 7 blocks. American forward Chehales Tapscott (195-90, college: Portland St.) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 30 points, 11 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 blocks (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) for the winners and forward Shinobu Kon (190-87) chipped in 23 points and 6 rebounds. Kagawa FA's coach felt very confident that he used 11 players saving starting five for next games. At the losing side American center Kyle Barone (208-89, college: Idaho) responded with 19 points and 9 rebounds and the other American import forward Alan Wiggins (206-85, college: USF) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds. Kagawa FA moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Bambitious Nara and Tokyo Excel. Loser Aomori Watts keep the fifth position with 13 games lost. Kagawa FA will face Shinshu BW (#6) in Nagano in the next round. Aomori Watts will play at home against Tokyo Z and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
