Regular Season Round 11: Rosa Radom - Asseco 70-67

A very interesting game took place in Radom. It ended with only three-point defeat on the road of 12th ranked Asseco (5-7) to seventh ranked Rosa (7-5) 70-67 on Sunday evening. Host team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. It was an exceptional evening for American point guard Jordan Callahan (184-90, college: Tulane) who led the winners and scored 21 points. International swingman Michal Sokolowski (196-92) accounted for 13 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side. The former international point guard Krzysztof Szubarga (178-84) came up with 19 points and 5 rebounds and international guard Filip Matczak (187-93) added 20 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Asseco in the defeat. Four Asseco players scored in double figures. Rosa moved-up to fifth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Asseco lost their third game in a row. They keep the twelfth position with seven games lost. Rosa's next round opponent will be bottom-ranked TBV Start (#17) in Lublin which should be an easy win for them. Asseco will play at home against the league's leader Twarde Pierniki (#1) and hope to win that game.
