Regular Season Round 11: Tresnjevka - Zadar 79-58

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Zagreb. Second ranked Tresnjevka faced 3rd placed KK Zadar. Host Tresnjevka (9-1) smashed guests from Zadar (7-3) 79-58. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of KK Zadar. The game was mostly controlled by Tresnjevka. KK Zadar managed to win third quarter 18-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding KK Zadar to just 5 points in second quarter. Tresnjevka forced 20 KK Zadar turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was the former international swingman Ana Lelas (183-83) who scored 26 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Guard Karla Erjavec (172-99) chipped in 17 points. Center Nina Dedic (187-96) produced 16 points and 6 rebounds and guard Glorija Sikiric (168-93) added 9 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Tresnjevka have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain second place with 9-1 record having just three points less than leader Medvescak. KK Zadar at the other side keeps the third position with three games lost. Tresnjevka are looking forward to face Plamen Pozega (#5) at home in the next round. KK Zadar will play against ZKK Split and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
