Regular Season Round 11: Maccabi H/H - Ironi Nes-Ziona 78-86

Not a big story in a game when 11th ranked Hasharon (4-7) lost to third ranked Ironi Nes-Ziona (7-4) in Hod Hasharon 78-86. Ironi Nes-Ziona players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. It was a great evening for American forward Billy McShepard (208-87, college: Valdosta St., agency: Blacktop Management) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds. His fellow American import power forward Lee Roberts (201-87, college: Findlay, OH) helped adding 19 points and 8 rebounds. American Storm Warren (201-88, college: LSU, agency: Octagon Europe) responded with a double-double by scoring 30 points and 12 rebounds and power forward Carmel Bouchman (205-91, college: Temple) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 12 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Hasharon's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Ironi Nes-Ziona keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Hapoel Migd.H. and Hapoel B/S. Hasharon at the other side keeps the eleventh place with seven games lost. They share the position with Galil Elion. Ironi Nes-Ziona will play against Hap.Haifa (#6) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Hasharon will play against Ironi Ramat Gan (#14) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
