Regular Season Round 12: Psychiko - Amyntas Dafnis 66-64

The most exciting game of round 12 in the A2 took place in Athens. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 12th ranked Amyntas Dafnis (4-8) to tenth ranked Psyhiko (5-7) 66-64 on Wednesday evening. 25 personal fouls committed by Amyntas Dafnis helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was point guard Thomas Nikou (185-80) who had a double-double by scoring 11 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Forward Nikolaos Papanikolaou (209-85) chipped in 5 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Ioannis Angelopoulos (194-91) who recorded 18 points and 5 assists and forward Panag Koukounias (199-88) added 12 points and 8 rebounds respectively. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Psyhiko moved-up to eighth place. Amyntas Dafnis lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the twelfth position with eight games lost. They share it with Kavala. Psyhiko are looking forward to face Holargos (#11) on the road in the next round. Amyntas Dafnis' supporters also look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Athens Pagrati.
