Regular Season Round 25: GECR Indalo - Weber Bahia 110-106

Very important is a road loss of third ranked Weber Bahia (12-10) against fifth ranked GECR Indalo (12-11) on Thursday night. Visiting Weber Bahia was defeated by GECR Indalo in a tough game in Comodoro R. 106-110. GECR Indalo made 25-of-30 free shots (83.3 percent) during the game. Strangely Weber Bahia outrebounded GECR Indalo 46-31 including 31 on the defensive glass. The former international Carlos Schattmann (193-87) stepped up and scored 41 points (!!!), 8 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners and Juan Manuel Rivero (191-85) chipped in 27 points. Four GECR Indalo players scored in double figures. At the losing side American center Anthony Laveal Johnson (203-88, college: Fairfield) responded with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 17 rebounds and guard Maximo Fjellerup (195-97) scored 33 points (!!!). GECR Indalo moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Obras Basket. Loser Weber Bahia keeps the third position with ten games lost. GECR Indalo will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Weber Bahia will play against Quilmes MP and hope to secure a win.
