Regular Season Round 13: Fubon Braves - Taiwan Beer 96-72

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Fubon Braves as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Fubon Braves smashed 4th placed Taiwan Beer at home 96-72. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Taiwan Beer. Fubon Braves dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Taiwan Beer's 36. They outrebounded Taiwan Beer 39-22 including a 15-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Fubon Braves especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.9 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. The former international swingman Wen-Cheng Tsai (190-85) fired 18 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. Guard Wei-Che Lin (182-92) chipped in 7 points and 10 assists. Four Fubon Braves players scored in double figures. American center Bryan Davis (206-86, college: Texas A&M) produced 19 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists and guard Huan-Ya Yu (183-93) added 15 points respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Defending champion Taiwan Beer keeps the fourth place with seven games lost. Taiwan Beer will play next round against strong Dacin Tigers trying to get back on the winning streak. Fubon Braves will try to continue on its current victory against third ranked Yulon Luxgen on the road.
