Regular Season Round 7: Bnot Hertzeliya - Ramat Hasharon 87-63

The game between Top Four teams took place in Hertzeliya. Third ranked host Bnot Hertzeliya (5-2) smashed 4th placed Ramat Hasharon (3-3) 87-63. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Ramat Hasharon. Bnot Hertzeliya dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Ramat Hasharon's 34. Bnot Hertzeliya forced 19 Ramat Hasharon turnovers. It was a great evening for American forward Cierra Burdick (188-93, college: Tennessee) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds. Her fellow American import Tayler Hill (178-90, college: Ohio St.) helped adding 24 points and 5 assists. Four Bnot Hertzeliya players scored in double figures. Bnot Hertzeliya's coach Gilad Katz felt very confident using 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side American power forward Alexandra Cohen (196-93, college: Northwestern) responded with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 14 rebounds and guard Nof Kedem (170-94, college: Northwestern) scored 16 points. Bnot Hertzeliya maintains third place with 5-2 record behind leader Maccabi R.Gan. Ramat Hasharon at the other side keeps the fourth position with three games lost. Bnot Hertzeliya are looking forward to face Hap.Petah Tikva (#6) on the road in the next round. Ramat Hasharon will play against the league's second-placed Maccabi Ashdod and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
