Total League top team - Musel Pikes (11-2) had no problems winning another game on Friday. This time they beat sixth ranked Basket Esch (6-7) in Stadrbredimus 85-67. The game without a history. Musel Pikes led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Musel Pikes forced 19 Basket Esch turnovers. American swingman Jarmar Gulley (196-91, college: Missouri St.) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 10 rebounds for the winners and international forward Jean Kox (196-90) chipped in 25 points. Musel Pikes' coach Frank Baum used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side American swingman Jermont Horton (198-84, college: Rutgers-Newark) responded with 23 points and the former international swingman Patrick Arbaut (186-87) scored 13 points. Musel Pikes have an impressive series of nine victories in a row. They maintain first place with 11-2 record, which they share with Amicale. Basket Esch lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with seven games lost. They share it with T71. Musel Pikes is looking forward to face Contern (#3) in Luxembourg in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Basket Esch will play at home against Arantia and is hoping to prove to their supporters that they can break losing series.
