Regular Season Round 13: Yulon Luxgen - Pauian 78-63

There was no surprise when 5th ranked Pauian (6-10) was defeated by third ranked Yulon Luxgen (10-6) 78-63 on Friday. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Yulon Luxgen made 8 blocks. Ivorian-French power forward Herve Lamizana (208-81, college: Rutgers) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 18 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 blocks for the winners and international Po-Chen Chou (196-90) chipped in 15 points, 9 rebounds and 4 blocks. Four Yulon Luxgen players scored in double figures. At the losing side international power forward Tai-Hao Wu (203-85, college: BYU-Hawaii) responded with 9 points and 10 rebounds and international power forward Quincy Davis (206-83, college: Tulane) scored 8 points and 9 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Yulon Luxgen maintains third place with 10-6 record having just three points less than leader Fubon Braves. Loser Pauian keeps the fifth position with ten games lost. Yulon Luxgen will meet league's leader Fubon Braves in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Pauian will play against KKL (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
