Regular Season Round 14: Chalon - Strasbourg 81-74

Very expected game when 8th ranked Strasbourg IG (7-7) lost on the road to second ranked Chalon/Saor (11-3) 81-74 on Friday. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Strasbourg IG won third quarter 20-18. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Chalon/Saor dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Strasbourg IG's 28. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Chalon/Saor made 7 blocks. American swingman Cameron Clark (201-91, college: Oklahoma) orchestrated the victory by scoring 25 points and 7 rebounds. The other American import point guard John Roberson (180-88, college: Texas Tech) contributed with 15 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. American-Polish point guard A.J. Slaughter (191-87, college: W.Kentucky, agency: BeoBasket) replied with 22 points and 5 assists and the former international guard Paul Lacombe (195-90, agency: BeoBasket) added 14 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals in the effort for Strasbourg IG. Chalon/Saor have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 11-3 record behind leader Monaco. Loser Strasbourg IG keeps the eighth place with seven games lost.
