An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Nagoya. First ranked Toyotsu FE faced 4th ranked Orange Vikings. Host Toyotsu FE (19-6) defeated guests from Matsuyama (10-15) 83-79. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Orange Vikings. Orange Vikings were ahead by 2 points at the halftime before a 43-37 second half run of Toyotsu FE. They outrebounded Orange Vikings 43-32 including 28 on the defensive glass. Nigerian center Solomon Alabi (216-88, college: Florida St.) notched a double-double by scoring 14 points and 16 rebounds to lead the effort and point guard Kohei Fukuzawa (177-93) supported him with 17 points and 6 steals. Five Toyotsu FE players scored in double figures. Even 17 points and 8 rebounds by American center Joshua Crawford (211-88, college: Indiana St.) did not help to save the game for Orange Vikings. Toshino Yoshihiko (186-92) added 20 points for the guests. Toyotsu FE maintains first position with 19-6 record, which they share with Hiroshima D. and Gunma. Orange Vikings at the other side dropped to the third place with 15 games lost. Toyotsu FE's next round opponent will be again Orange Vikings (#4) in Matsuyama.
