Rather expected game in Tokyo where 6th ranked Shiga L-Stars (6-21) were edged by third ranked Hitachi Sunrockers (14-13) 73-70 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 3 points at the halftime before their 35-29 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Hitachi Sunrockers made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for American power forward R.T. Guinn (208-81, college: Baylor) who led his team to a victory scoring 22 points and 6 rebounds. International forward Ira Brown (193-82, college: Gonzaga) helped adding 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. The best for the losing side was Zimbabwean-American Julian Mavunga (203-90, college: Miami, OH, agency: Pensack Sports) with 21 points and guard Narito Namizato (172-89) scored 12 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Shiga L-Stars' coach Tohyama Kohto tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Hitachi Sunrockers maintains third place with 14-13 record having nine points less than leader SeaHorses. Shiga L-Stars lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with 21 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
