Regular Season Round 27: Niigata Albirex - Chiba Jets 69-106

We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when third ranked Chiba Jets (19-8) outscored on the road second-best Niigata Albirex (15-12) 106-69 on Saturday. Chiba Jets looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Niigata Albirex's players. It was a great evening for American Tyler Stone (203-91, college: SE Missouri St.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 15 rebounds. International power forward Ryumo Ono (197-88) helped adding 26 points and 6 rebounds. Chiba Jets' coach Atsushi Ono felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. The best for the losing side was American power forward Clint Chapman (208-89, college: Texas) with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds and the former international guard Kei Igarashi (180-80) scored 19 points and 5 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Chiba Jets maintains third place with 19-8 record having four points less than leader SeaHorses. Loser Niigata Albirex keeps the second position with 12 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
