Regular Season Round 7: Aisin AW - Tokyo HT 80-58

Very important is a road loss of third ranked Tokyo HT (14-8) against sixth ranked Aisin AW (6-8) on Sunday night. Visiting Tokyo HT was crushed by Aisin AW in Aichi 80-58. The game without a history. Aisin AW led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Tokyo HT's 26. Tokyo HT was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for guard Kyouhei Kumazawa (180-88) who led his team to a victory scoring 18 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Center Eve Nyokozera (199-93) helped adding 12 points and 8 rebounds. At the losing side American forward Brian Harper (204-85, college: Paine, agency: HMS) responded with 12 points and 9 rebounds and the other American import power forward Edward Morris (205-84, college: Pittsburg St.) scored 7 points and 5 steals. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Aisin AW maintains sixth place with 6-8 record. Loser Tokyo HT keeps the third position with eight games lost. Aisin AW will have a break next round. Tokyo HT will play at home against Toyoda Gosei and hope to win that game.
