Regular Season Round 27: Toyotsu FE - Ehime OV 92-72

An interesting game for Toyotsu FE (20-6) which hosted in Nagoya 4th placed Orange Vikings (10-16). First ranked Toyotsu FE had an easy win 92-72. The game without a history. Toyotsu FE led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. Strangely Orange Vikings outrebounded Toyotsu FE 45-33 including a 20-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a good game for American forward Rodney Carney (201-84, college: Memphis) who led his team to a victory with 20 points and 6 rebounds. Guard Satoshi Kawai (182-82) contributed with 20 points for the winners. Guard Toshino Tatsuhiko (185-88) answered with 21 points and 9 rebounds and American center Joshua Crawford (211-88, college: Indiana St.) added 10 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for Orange Vikings. Four Orange Vikings players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Toyotsu FE have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain first place with 20-6 record, which they share with Hiroshima D. and Shimane SM. Loser Orange Vikings dropped to the third position with 16 games lost. Toyotsu FE will face league's leader Gunma on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week.
