Not a big story in a game when 20th ranked Bayi Rockets (3-18) lost to thirteenth ranked TianJin Steel (9-12) in Tianjin 80-92. The best player for the winners was American-Ukrainian point guard Eugene Jeter (180-83, college: Portland) who scored 23 points and 8 assists. American forward Jeremy Tyler (208-91, college: Louisville) chipped in 24 points and 6 rebounds (on 10-of-11 shooting from the field). Four TianJin Steel players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Azat Shoklet (200) who recorded 15 points and 5 rebounds and guard Zuming Zhang (205-95) added 20 points respectively. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. TianJin Steel maintains thirteenth place with 9-12 record, which they share with Qingdao E. Bayi Rockets lost sixth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 18 games lost. TianJin Steel's next round opponent will be higher ranked Shandong Bulls (#8) in Jinan and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Bayi Rockets will play at home against Beijing Ducks (#7) and hope to win that game.
