Date: December 26, 2016
Very predictable result when second ranked Arak (7-2) won against at home 7th ranked Army (3-6) 72-61. The game was mostly controlled by Arak. Army was better in second period 15-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. International center Asghar Kardoust (212-86) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds for the winners and American-Georgian forward Quinton Hosley (201-84, college: Fresno St.) chipped in 13 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Arak players scored in double figures. Arak's coach Mohammad Kasaeipour allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The best for the losing side was the former international Arsalan Kazemi (200-90, college: Oregon) with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international center Mohammad Torabi (211-92) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field).
