Regular Season Round 15: Strasbourg - Dijon 68-66

A very close game took place in Strasbourg between Strasbourg IG and JDA Dijon. Ninth ranked Strasbourg IG (8-7) got a very close home victory over 14th ranked JDA Dijon (5-10). Strasbourg IG managed to escape with a 2-point win 68-66 on Monday evening. Host team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But JDA Dijon won third quarter 23-20. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded JDA Dijon 40-21 including a 15-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American point guard David Holston (168-86, college: Chicago St.) who recorded 13 points and 8 assists and the other American import guard Ryan Brooks (193-88, college: Temple) added 11 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Four JDA Dijon players scored in double figures. Strasbourg IG moved-up to fifth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser JDA Dijon dropped to the fifteenth position with ten games lost. They share it with Antibes and Orleans. Strasbourg IG will meet Paris-Levallois (#6) on the road in the next round. JDA Dijon will play against Entente Orleans 45 (#16) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
