Regular Season Round 8: Hap.Petah Tikva - Bnot Hertzeliya 60-80

Date: December 26, 2016
The game in Petah Tikva supposed to be also quite interesting. Third ranked Bnot Hertzeliya (6-2) played at the court of 7th ranked Hap.Petah Tikva (2-5). Bnot Hertzeliya did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 80-60 on Monday. Bnot Hertzeliya made 21-of-27 free shots (77.8 percent) during the game. They also forced 25 Hap.Petah Tikva turnovers. The game was dominated by American players. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Cierra Burdick (188-93, college: Tennessee) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) and forward Keisha Hampton (187-90, college: De Paul, agency: LBM Management) who added 19 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Bnot Hertzeliya's coach Gilad Katz used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Forward Ruvanna Campbell (190, college: Ill.-Chicago) responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 17 rebounds and guard Nikki Dixon (178-93, college: Clemson) scored 10 points and 5 rebounds. Bnot Hertzeliya maintains third position with 6-2 record having just one point less than leader Maccabi R.Gan. Loser Hap.Petah Tikva keeps the seventh place with five games lost. They share the position with Hapoel Z/MM. Bnot Hertzeliya will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Hap.Petah Tikva will play against the league's second-placed Maccabi Ashdod (#2) and hope to secure a win.
