Everything went according to plan when eleventh ranked Hasharon (5-7) beat on the road bottom-ranked Ironi Ramat Gan (2-10) 80-65 on Tuesday. They outrebounded Ironi Ramat Gan 49-32 including 18 on the offensive glass. The best player for the winners was American Storm Warren (201-88, college: LSU, agency: Octagon Europe) who had a double-double by scoring 22 points and 16 rebounds. Power forward Carmel Bouchman (205-91, college: Temple) chipped in a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Four Hasharon players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international Sean Daniel (197-89) who recorded 19 points and 5 rebounds and U.S. Virgin Islands forward Aaron Brown (196-92, college: Boston Coll.) added 18 points respectively. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Hasharon moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Galil Elion and Hapoel G/A. Loser Ironi Ramat Gan stay at the bottom position with ten games lost. Hasharon will meet at home higher ranked Hapoel Kfar Saba (#4) in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Ironi Ramat Gan will play against Hap.Haifa (#8) and hope to secure a win.
