Regular Season Round 13: Boulazac - Poitiers 95-82

There was a small surprise when sixteenth ranked Boulazac Basket (5-8) beat at home 14th ranked Poitiers (5-8) 95-82 on Tuesday. The hosts trailed by 5 points at the halftime before their 54-36 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Boulazac Basket made 20-of-24 free shots (83.3 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Power forward Alexis Tanghe (207-90) fired 28 points for the winners. American guard Anthony Roberson (188-83, college: Florida) chipped in 24 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Four Boulazac Basket players scored in double figures. American swingman Drake Reed (194-87, college: Austin Peay St., agency: Inception Sports) produced 20 points and power forward Mickael Var (205-90) added 18 points respectively for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Boulazac Basket moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Poitiers. Boulazac Basket will face higher ranked Saint-Quentin (#8) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
